1. Who is responsible

This website, manumenon.com, is the personal website of Manu Menon. I decide how the personal data collected through it is used. You can reach me at manu@manumenon.com.

2. What I collect

Newsletter sign-ups. When you subscribe to Machines That Move, I collect the email address you enter.

Messages. When you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.

Technical data. Like any website, the servers that host this site record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and secure the site.

3. How I use it

Your email address is used only to send you the newsletter and occasional related updates, and to reply when you write to me. I do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and I do not use it for advertising.

4. Who processes it for me

Wix.com hosts this website and stores newsletter sign-ups in its forms and contacts system on my behalf.

Google Fonts serves the typeface used on this site, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.

YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube may set cookies once you play a video.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and may store it outside your country, with the safeguards they apply to international transfers.

5. Cookies and local storage

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. To submit the newsletter form securely, your browser stores an anonymous visitor token in local storage. The hosting platform may use strictly necessary cookies to run and protect the site.

6. How long I keep it

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Emails are kept as long as needed to respond and for my reasonable records.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent, or object to its use. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, or you can write to manu@manumenon.com and I will act on your request promptly. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

This site is meant for professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
